Dr. Jeffery Johnston
Owner
Dr. Johnston was born and raised in the great state of Iowa. He went to undergraduate school at Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville Missouri Where he played football for four years. He went to graduate school at the Illinois College of optometry where he met his wife, Melissa. They have three adult boys. Hobbies include golf and watching Hawkeye football.
Dr. Craig Watson
Owner
Dr Craig has 28 years under the Lapeer County Vision Center umbrella. In 2003, Dr. Johnston and him became co-owners and have enjoyed over 20 years of building a relationship with our patients and our communities.
He moved to Lapeer in 1997 after marrying a local girl, Kelly (Hicks) in 1995. They raised their two children there. … Gabe is 24 years old and received his CPA license (2024) and is employed by Plante-Moran in Grand Rapids. Ava, currently a junior at Oakland University is part of the women’s club soccer team and studying exercise science.
His downtime includes golfing with friends, Heading to see Gabe with Kelly, or watching Ava’s games and, as often as possible, relaxing in Lewiston.
Cindy Kish
Director of Operations
Cindy Kish has been with our family of practices for just over 10 years. She has spent 27 years in the optical industry in one fashion or another and brings a wealth of knowledge to our practices. When not helping our team members to be their best, she enjoys time outside and with her family.
Jackie Gibbons
Director of Finance
Jackie started working for Lapeer County Vision Centers in November of 2002. She handles all things financial for the practice. In her spare time she plays golf and reads. Jackie’s greatest joy and the thing that makes her most happy is spending time with her husband Bill and daughter Brooke. Fun fact: during the holiday season, you will find that Jackie also looks a lot like our Sparky the Elf!
Jessica Robinson
Manager
Jess is the manager at our Downtown Lapeer office, and has been with the practice for over 23 years. She cherishes the relationships she has built with patients over all the years! Jess has 3 daughters, and in her spare time loves to spend time with her family and friends experiencing the best life has to offer!
Nicole Thomas
Manager
Nicole is the Manager of our Imlay City office. She enjoys using her 16 years of experience to help patients look and see their best. While not at work, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, going on adventures, seeing new things, or just enjoying a quiet night in.
Victoria Willis
In-House Lab Manager
VIctoria is our in house Lab Manager. Victoria has been with Lapeer County Vision Center for 13 years. She started out as an optician, then worked her way up to the Lab Manager position. She has lived in Columbiaville all her life. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and loves to travel by herself, as well as with her family.
